TERMS OF SERVICE

The following is a legal agreement between Cards9 and "you", the user of this Site. By accessing, browsing and/or using this Web site, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound to these terms of service. THIS AGREEMENT CONTAINS WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS AND OTHER PROVISIONS THAT LIMIT OUR LIABILITY TO YOU. PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT IN ITS ENTIRETY. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this Site.

• You are entirely responsible and liable for all activities conducted through your usage of our services. Cards9 shall not be responsible for any content on greeting cards that you created at our web site.
  
  
• You agree not to send greeting cards with content that is threatening, embarassing, abusive, harassing, obscene, hateful or otherwise inappropriate.
  
  
• Individuals, organizations and businesses may not use this service to send email to people or other entities on mailing lists and usenet news groups that they do not have full rights to use, nor send email to people or other entities with whom they are not acquainted. This service is intended for private use. Sending multiple emails with advertising content is considered abuse of this service ("spam") and we'll take appropriate measures to exclude users deliberately violating this rule.
  
  
• Since this is a free service, our web pages and email may contain advertisements.
  
  
• This Site allows users to send their own images located on their Hard Drives. When you upload photos and/or images to the Site you are indicating that you own the photo and/or image and/or have full rights to its use.
  
  
• At this time our software is enough stable and keeps all user's data and mostly created greetings in one place. But in the future if our database become too large we keep the right to archive some part of it and the user will have no direct access to it. For example, we can archive all cards older than 3 months, so your request of viewing a card may return message "You have no direct access to this card".
  
  
• ALL USERS EXPRESSLY AGREE TO UTILIZE THIS SERVICES AT THEIR OWN RISK. ALTHOUGH WE ALWAYS TRY TO PROVIDE A HIGH STANDARD OF QUALITY, WE CANNOT MAKE ANY GUARANTEES CONCERNING THE PERMANENT AVAILABILITY, FAULTLESS FUNCTIONING, OR TIMELINESS OF OUR SERVICES. Cards9 SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE TO YOU FOR ANY CONTENT FOUND ON OUR WEB SITE OR ON ANY GREETING CARDS SENT USING THIS SERVICE.

PRIVACY POLICY

This policy covers how Cards9 treats personal information that is collected from it's users.

• Cards9 automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, Referrer(last page you visit outside Cards9) and page you request.
  
  
• We associate with every greeting a 8-15 characters password, that is sent to the recipients. Our software has the ability to ban a user trying to access a card after certain amount of unsuccessfull attempts on IP basis.
  
  
• Cards9 displays targeted ads based on user's language and country he/she comes from.
  
  
• Cards9 may set and access cookies on your computer. Cookies are pieces of data sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your's hard drive for record-keeping purposes. At this time their usage on our site is very limited, but in the future our new software releases may rely more on them as a safe and convinient technology.
  
  
• We use third party advertising companies to serve ads. They may use cookies and Clear GIF technology (1x1 pixel dimension images) to measure the effectiveness of their ads. To do so, these companies may collect anonymous information about your visits to our Web site. This info can be: date/time of banner ad shown and user's IP address. They are using it mostly for marketing purposes. Cards9 has no access to this information and it is subject to their privacy policy.
  
  
• When you send a greeting using our site we collect your name, your e-mail address and e-mail addresses of the recipients the card is intended to. This information is necessery to send the content and provide confirmation that it has been received. We will not use these e-mail addresses for other purpose than to send the greeting. We treat our service as private correspondence between the sender and the recipient and will not disclose the contents of the greeting other than to intended recipient.
  
  
• On a regular bases we make statistics of site usage. These statistics include unique visitors per day/week/month, regions they come from, preferred categories, special effects usage, etc. We only use this type of data as aggregated. We look at the data on a collective basis, in summary form, rather than on an individual basis.
  
  
• Cards9 doesn't rent, sell or share personal information about you with other people or companies.
  
  
• Cards9 may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes or you will see the word UPDATED next to the Privacy Policy link on the front page of Cards9 sites.
